When you want to be this and that and that as well! - Part1

"A dead slow phone definitely helps imbibe the quality of patience in oneself".
                                                                               -Miss Aishwarya

I am very sure all of you must have come across this famous quote by me! Kidding :D. On a more serious note, believe me that is true :P.(I am guessing that is because of huge amount of photos on my phone :() Also, read my medium article to know the importance of patience.

So, you might be wondering, "What has patience got to do with the title of the post?". Well, the honest confession is here and not the philosophical one. I couldn't think of a unique way of initiating my post and thus, I told myself "Give it some time & Be patient!". You don't always have to have it all clear in your head - the way you want to structure the post, the beginning, the end etc. Thode surprises ache hain. (Translation: A tinge of surprise is always good!). So, now you know, why the blog post starts the way it does :)

Also, when I say we don't need to have everything figured out while writing a post, everyone might feel compelled to apply the same logic to life. Is it really OK to not have your life all figured out? "Definitely!"and I say this , from the amount of life experience I have* and the number of realizations that I have had. But, "Kahani mein twist hain" (Translation: "There is a twist in the story!")

So What's the twist? You just said that It;s OK to not have your life figured out, and now you say there's a twist? What the Hell? Many of you might just be saying those words.

Well, I have been telling myself "It's OK to not know - What you love the most in life? What you want to base your life on?". But until when? If you keep telling yourself that, I am pretty sure, a lazy person like me is going to keep postponing "the setting out on the voyage to find your passion". Because, after certain amount of time, you start thinking "Yes! This is life. I am destined to be here and do this" and you never get to taste the life that is lived by doing something you are truely passionate about. I would call this a "Dream Life!" since, not everybody gets this, but everybody definitely dreams about it.

And, thus we arrive at the Title of the post.

When you dream, you dream big! I do not know about others, but I do dream big!

"I want to become this and then that and almost everything!"

I love listening to inspirational speakers and talk to people about great things, but I never manage to do much, Never really took that step. It is not so easy as it seems, to take the step and keep up with it. Because there is way too much that you want to do + You have not prioritized the things. Everything looks fun + important + "your potential passion". So, you get lost.

Now, I am able to write this post and say things about myself only because, I have realized! I have realized the fact that I always back out, when it's time to take the step(Since. I  am confused. No organization, lack of prioritiaztion). As my mum always says "Realization of your drawbacks is the first step towards improvement!", it is true to every word.

It has been working like a charm. I have had so many realizations from then on and I constantly try to improve myself. Also, books are a great way to have realizations. That happens because you are completely with yourself when you are reading a book. You end up introspecting yourself.

I was fortunate enough to have come across an article that asks you to read a set of books, and seriously those are a set of must-read books! I have started off with one. You should check them out too! Find the link to the article here.

tl;dr
Well, I think the lazy people deserve a tl;dr on this post :P So, this post is all about how we (esp me) want to do everything, but never end up doing something significant. It's time to take a step! And the step to take here is to read the post:P Sorry for creating a deadlock here :D (for all of those CS grads who understand this)

PS: I am going to sort out all my dreams of "I want to be this and that"and try things one at a time, with hopefully loads of patience. Until then Tata Bye Bye!

PPS: I shall share my dreams in the next post so stay tuned :) (Only if I feel like :P)

So, basically I  just realized that I wrote a whole blog post to illustrate "Jack of all and Master of none:P" But, the fact is I love writing :D

Anyway, it's festival time and here's me wishing you all A very Happy Diwali in advance. Spread the light :)

Signing off. Aish.

*which is definitely less (I am a youngster you see)
